Amino Acids Aid in the Process of Recovery, Help Build Muscle Tissue, and Maintain a Lean, Health Body

Amino Acids help with soreness and energy. They improve your endurance during workouts or throughout your day.

Your muscles use amino acids to grow and recover after exercise.  Known as the building blocks of muscle amino acids help you with muscle soreness and energy. Fortunately if you can’t eat it, you can drink it.  There are variety of amino acid products on the market.  They are available as an amino acid blend.  Or included in protein powders.

As a result, there are many protein powders options on the market.  They include amino acids.  A few are whey (animal), enriched egg (vegetarian), and  vegetable (vegan).

Due to their popularity, there are also a variety of single and blended amino acid complexes available. They are manufactured in many  forms. Such as powder, pills and premixed drinks.

There are over 20 types of amino acids in your body. And over 100 aminos that occur in nature.

Each amino has a function in your body.  So when you have a specific need, you would need to use the amino specific to support that need. Amino Acids decrease soreness and increase energy in your body. Therefore they can be purchased in single ingredient form.

Beta-Alanine is an example of a stand alone amino acid. This amino aids in pump and recovery. It is also seen in blends and used in pre-workouts.  It provides an increase of nitric oxide to your veins. This increases your blood flow:  known as the “pump”.  This increase in pump leads to higher levels in energy, strength, and endurance.

Amino acids are broken into two groups: Essential and Non-essential.

Nine aminos are essential because your body cannot produce them. These nine Essential Aminos Acids or EAAs are: Histidine, Leucine, Isoleuceine, Valine, Lysine, Methionine, Threonine, Phenylalanine, and Tyrptophan. The increaseing EAA products on the market, suggests that they aid in recovery more than was thought.

Branch Chain Amino Acids or BCAAs  increases your performance and muscle recovery. These BCAAs are: Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine. They are blended together in a variety of products. Some with other aminos, joint support and minerals. BCAAs are used before, during and after your workout. They are the most common combination of aminos used on the market today.

There are eleven non-essential amino acids.  Non essential amino acids are be obtained through your food sources and supplements.  These eleven are: Alanine, Arginine, Asparagine, Aspartic Acid, Cysteine, Glutamic Acid, Glutamine, Glycine, Proline, Serine, and Tyrosine.

Glutamine is an amino acid you use for muscle recovery.  Recovery after any workout is important.  Because it increases your bodies potential for more strength, size or performance.  Amino Acids help with Soreness and Energy.

Amino acids also reduce the onset of DOMS. Also known as Delayed Onset of Muscle Soreness. They help with soreness by increasing the rate of protein synthesis to repair and rebuild your muscles.

One particularly amazing amino acid is L-Carnitine!

L-Carnitine has multiple functions in your body.  These functions include increasing your physical energy, increasing your endurance, and helping your body convert fat into energy.  Thus aiding in fat loss. You could also use it to combat fat gain while eating extra calories!!

Currently there is research with subjects who supplemented L-Carnitine and consumed high glycemic carbohydrates.  These subjects had no real fat gain!! While others in the study didn’t take L-Carnitine and ate the same gained five pounds of fat!! L-Carnitine can also reduce muscle glycogen use during workouts by 55%. In addition to lowering levels of lactic acid build up!

Amino acids supplementation is a critical part of your program! Whether you are looking to lose weight or pack on muscle.  If you need more endurance in your workouts. Or if you just want to maintain a healthy physique.
